Day Planner Software
A software day planner has many advantages over its pen and paper counterparts. It is much easier to make changes and updates using day planner software, just like it is much easier to edit text using a word processor instead of a typewriter.
A good day planner software package should provide a hierarchical project/task outline where you can break up large items into smaller steps. This helps you get organized and take control of your to-do list. You should also have a calendar display where you can schedule time for your projects and perform weekly planning.

If you just want a free day planner template, this Excel file may fit your needs. It lets you write down your projects, appointments, and tasks.

One of our favorite paper based day & weekly planner is the "Planner Pad" from PlannerPads. We like it because it supports many of the time management principles described in this website.
